OCBC Headquater Kuala Lumpur features innovative structural design elements. To achieve a column-free interior, twin post-tensioned beams were utilized, spanning 18 meters from perimeter edge to edge. In order to navigate tight site constraints and ensure the preservation of nearby pre-war shop houses, a top-down construction method was implemented for the substructure. Notably, the annex of the building includes a 9-storey car park that is designed to hang onto the main building, creating an overhang above a driveway.
